The Seven poor Brothers- Laira Macha Taret

Once there lived a very poor couple with their seven sons. Driven by poverty the couple could not even feed their children a course of meal properly and so the helpless couple decided to abandon their children in the forest. The next day the father went to the forest with his seven sons to search for fruits and berries and thought of leaving his sons behind in the forest. The mother cooked some bread for each of them and they set off for the forest. On the way the youngest boy did not ate the bread , instead he left out pieces of bread as trials of their route. While the boys were busy searching for fruits, the father immediately escaped from their sights and ran away. The boys realized that they were lost and began to worry. However, the youngest boy showed his brothers the way back by following the trials and they reached home at night.
The same thing happened the next day, the mother cooked bread for the sons, they went to the forest and as usual the youngest boy leaves the trials of their way. When they reached the forest, their father again disappear leaving them behind. So they were about to returned home but unfortunately the trials were all gone and could not find their way back. As they were searching their way home they came across a light from a house, when they entered the house a lady welcome them and they went inside the house. The lady had seven sons who wore crowns in their heads and they were sleeping in the room. The other seven brothers also went in to sleep beside the lady’s sons and they dozed off as soon as they were attached to bed except for the youngest brother who could not sleep at all. He moved around the house here and there and he found lots of Human skeletons and bones in the house and on the other side he also saw the lady of the house wearing a leather coat which ultimately made her grew taller and she flew away from the house.
Now the youngest brother came to realize that the lady was a demoness and he and his six brothers were trapped in her house. He quickly went to the room and took out the crowns from the heads of the demoness sons and put it on the heads of his six brothers and himself.
Later, the demoness arrived and enter the room, mistakenly she killed all her seven sons assuming that they were the seven brothers as her own sons were not wearing the crowns and then she went to sleep.

The youngest brother woke up his brothers and told them everything and together they ran out of the house. As they came out of the house the younger brother took the demoness coat with him and as he wore it he become more taller and bigger. With the help of the magic coat he and his brothers flew away from the house to a hill.
When the demoness woke up and entered the room she saw that she had killed her own seven sons instead of the seven brothers and out in raged and anger she begin to follow them. When the seven brothers reached the top of the hill they saw the demoness following them and when she tried to climb up the hill they pushed down the huge rocks from the top of the hill and killed the demoness there.
On their way to home they came across a King’s Palace and went inside it. They met the King and narrated the whole story and incidents to him. The King was so pleased to hear the good news as he was also a victim of that demoness. Everyday the King had to sacrifice a Human for the demoness and he was fed up with her tortures. So happy was the King that he gave half of his land to seven brothers along with many jems, jewels and gifts.  The seven brothers fetched their parents and lived happily with the wealth as they were not poor anymore.
